Happy 4 years of a new life for Tati! Cancer Free!

My sweet angel baby, now big girl, Tatiana Chrisléa Morrow has had a chance at a "new" life now for 4 years. I say "new" because this month (Sept 16) 4 years ago, she had her bone marrow transplant. That day was sort of a marker for her, being cancer free, even though immediately after her transplant, complications piled up. Now there wasn't a guarantee that she was anywhere out of the woods at that point, but she was in remission at that time, so we kind of celebrate it around this time and chose her transplant date to remember. Having the transplant was a huge risk, but was really the only option we had with her cancer (Acute Myeloid Leukemia, sub type 7.. she had a very rare form of AML, which was actually classified as sub type 0.. because there was no other type of her form of AML, so she was treated as type 7, which was the worst kind to have)
The transplant was no picnic, but she was a champ throughout the entire trial and we surely endured it until the end, with the help of many loved ones and even strangers. I will never forget the traumatic experience we went through, for many reasons. One of most important reasons being that we are blessed! It is an absolute miracle she is here with us today (not only because she survived her cancer, but for more specific reasons that some know about) and I have to constantly remind myself to cherish every waking minute with her...which isn't hard, because she is a true angel and joy to be around. Not only is she those things; she is a wonderful example to me to be a better person, so that I am worthy when the time comes to be in her presence for eternity. I am so grateful to the many, many doctors and nurses that have diligently cared for her. I feel honored to be her mother and even though we went through hard times together, I wouldn't change them for the world, because I am a better person today because of it. I was blessed to experience many miracles performed on this girl and my faith has become stronger than ever. I know Tati was special the day she was born and she has a special purpose on this earth. I hope to be the mother she deserves and needs. I look forward to seeing her grow and learn and succeed in everything she does. I accept her for who she is and I am glad for who she is. My love for her is unconditional and always will be.
We were blessed to receive a special letter from President Monson (at the time, He was still a counselor and Hinckley was the Prophet) His words were very comforting to us and the fact that they included her in their prayers I think made a difference. The fasting and prayers of many are continually blessing our lives. Our little "journey" isn't quite over, but we have come a long, long way. We do not know what the Lord has in store for her, but I will try to be as best prepared as I can. Anyways, I can go on and on, but I will stop here and someday I will finish her story that I have been writing..until then, I want to share with everyone how much I love this girl and my testimony has strengthen so much because of her. I KNOW the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I have witnessed and felt many things that has confirmed this many times. We have a living Prophet on this earth that guides us and helps us to be better people than we were yesterday. If we are obedient and live our lives that follow the teachings of the Prophets, we will be happy and blessed. We will one day return to our Heavenly Father, if we live worthily and our families will be together for eternity. Not everything in our lives goes the way we plan them or want them to be. This life on earth is a blink of an eye in comparison to eternity. We just need to make the most of it and serve and treat others with charity in our hearts constantly.

Come what may and love it :)

Happy 4 years to all of you! Your strength amazes me. Tati is such a little sweetheart and definitely is special & on the earth for a reason. We need to get together soon, it's been forever! My father in law leaves for a mission in brazil (again) with his wife this time though in October so we'll be going down to visit. We can't wait! I think of you everytime we talk about going down. You'll have to give us some pointers. I'm hoping they're going to Sao Paolo but not sure if it's I think Racinte? or something like that which is where he started his mission in 1960 or something!
