Fall Break

For fall break we headed to Imperial Beach, California!

My Dad flew down to drive with me and the kids, since Brant wasn't able to come until Sunday morning and he wanted to go to Priesthood with his Dad and brothers.

We left after school on Friday. We watched conference on saturday and sunday and enjoyed eachothers company with delicious food made by my Mom :)

 

We also got to meet Erik's new girlfriend Rochelle. We really liked her. The kids of course had an amazing time at the beach and the weather was perfect!

 (on sunday, I told the kids we could just walk on the beach, so they had their clothes on, because I didn't want them "playing" on the beach and in the water. But of course they still got dirty and soaking wet.. on accident.) Even Erik got soaked by one of the waves, when he was trying to run from it :)

 Monday we went to Legoland and had a great time! then we met up with the Harpers at Taco surf. Then Tuesday was my birthday, which I am now 32 years old. We had lunch at Rei do Gado. Brant and I went to the temple in the morning and it was so beautiful I cannot describe! for dinner, we went to little piggies BBQ, as the kids requested and met up with the Tylers. Wednesday, we hit the swap meet! got a few things too. We went to beach a lot of course. We also went to Balboa park and had a picnic, thanks to Panera bread. We also went to see Brave at the movie theatres.. which I liked and can't wait to buy it on dvd. We returned to Legoland on thursday and Sea Life Aquarium and met up with the Tylers. We had a fun filled week!

 We love Imperial Beach and the park by the beach..lots of fun. They have a market on Friday mornings with lots of goodies. I got crocheted hats for Levi and the girls.

The beautiful San Diego Temple!

This amazing map that Tati made had some of her favorite places.. and some random ones (like Ira's house..haha)

it included: the swap meat (which she spelled, because at first she called it meatloaf.. and we all got confused to what she was talking about.. she wanted to go to the meatloaf! haha), Legoland, little piggies BBQ, TJmaxx (because we went there to buy some sunday clothes for Brant, so we could go to the Temple, Taco surf (where we met up with friends), Hotel (a new hotel theyre building near our condo, Rei do gado (where we ate on my birthday), and some others I can't tell.

 this girl got sick :( but she was a trooper!

We sure did enjoy having the beach as our backyard!
