We had a wonderful time in San Diego!
I went down with a friend and the kids and stayed at my Dad's condo on Imperial Beach for a week..Brant and Joe met up with us for a few days and stayed for Fathers Day. I made a yummy Peruvian meal, Lomo Saltado and alfajores cookies..which Laura and I made and took forever..considering my dad didn't have all the tools we needed, so we had to improvise a little.. they turned out great! (check it out on recipe anatomy) and got to spend time with friends and family and I got to see my cousin Brandon and Uncle Ira :)
We spent lots of time at the beach, we went to the pier and there was a Native American Festival going on.. the kids loved it! There was Indian fry bread, but the line was too long, and I can make it at home.
We got to visit with some friends who live there in Cali.. The Aland's and the Andersen's! So glad we got to see them and hang out..Tati loves their kids.
Laura, my parents, and I took the kids to Knott's Berry Farm, Camp Snoopy. They had a blast.. this was the girls first Amusement Park. I didn't even go on any of the fun adult rides..we just took the kids on the rides they could go on and we ended up being there for 6 hours.. we did get to eat the yummy BBQ Chicken, but no corn :( Tati got some Snoopy slippers and I got a t-shirt.
Right after we got back, which was around 1 or 2 am, we headed straight to the AZ Grand Resort the next morning! We met up with the Morrow family for a night and 2 days at the Oasis waterpark. It was tons of fun.. it's always fun when the whole fam gets together. The rooms were really nice.
Thank you Friends and Family!
