My friend Susan Turley

May 7 1983 - December 5 2008

My dear friend Susan Turley returned to Heavenly Father Friday night. She was diagnosed with Colon Cancer several months ago. She put up a good fight and was tremendously strong throughout her treatment, with a positive outlook. Her testimony has strengthened so many, including mine. She was a wonderful friend and wife to Justin. At age 25, she lived a good and righteous life. She traveled all over the world and experienced so many wonderful things. She touched the lives of so many through her experience and strength.

Her attitude was one to follow. She was always positive and the first one to laugh at herself...finding humor in ALL things! She loved the outdoors, camping, and riding quads. She liked watching chick flicks every now and then..although half the time she'd fall asleep..not much of a late nighter. She was a natural at everything..she could try anything and succeed at it. She was very intelligent. She graduated with a Bachelors from UofA. She was able to accomplish so much at such a young age. I know Heavenly Father has a special plan for her.

I know Justin and her were meant to be together and will be able to be together for eternity. Her smile just radiates all those around her and nobody can help but smile, when she does. Susan always thought of others before herself, even through her tumultuous struggle.

I feel honored to have been her friend and have the memories that I do of her. She had a soft spot for children and I know one day, she will be able to be a wonderful Mother and raise children. She fulfilled her covenant here on this earth, being married in the temple and will receive wonderful blessings because of it. Tatiana knew she was special the day she met her. We were at a game..I think a D backs game or a football game..and Tati sat on her lap the entire time! She just had a blast with her and that was just the beginning of a wonderful spark Tati had for her.

I will miss her greatly, but I am thankful her suffering is over. This life is so temporary, in the eyes of eternity. I am grateful to know that we will get to spend eternity with those we love, as we strive live our lives in righteousness.
