The weekend before Thanksgiving, Tati got sick! She was febrile for a few days (about 100-102 degrees) and we were taking the right precautions, Tylenol, etc. I talked to her Nephrologist and if she got over 103, then I would have to take her into the hospital. So we watched her closely and she seemed to have been OK. Then, Sunday morning, she was taking a nap and I thought I would try to at least make it to sacrament, but I felt that I should check her temperature real quick, just to make sure. I checked it and it was 104.3! I was a bit worried and knew that I needed to take her to the hospital..so then I called her Nephrologist (Kidney specialist) and just to make sure it wasn't kidney related, he wanted me to order a urine sample (or just make sure that they do one..not that I can order one, I'm just a Mom, not a doctor...although in the past I think I have asked doctors and nurses to order certain things, but that was then) So, I took her to Banner Desert Children's ED. They were wonderful, her O2 sats were low and she was put on O2 immediately and the minute they (well not a minute, it took a few minutes) heard of her medical history, we got a room instantly (that was kinda nice). They were fairly quick on all her tests, labs, cultures, etc. She also had a chest X-ray and she was diagnosed with pneumonia :( I had a feeling that was what it was and glad it wasn't kidney related! phew..although pneumonias are pretty rough! We spent the next few days there and made it home just in time for Thanksgiving.. and we are thankful for that :)
Also, Ami Bethea got to be our Nurse..yeah, that was fun! Tati got a present from Vovo (my mom) to play with..she got poly pockets, which she loves. We were able to take her home once she was off oxygen for 24 hours and had an appetite. While she was asleep, she tended to drop down in the 80's, but they let her get as low as 89, and I was trying so hard to keep her off the nasal cannula. Tati had a fast recovery :) Hailey got to spend some time at the Nally's in Surprise, I missed her so much..it was very hard being away from her, even just for 2 days or so.
We got to spend a little time at my parents, then headed over to the Morrows and had a great time and great food. I made Pumpkin roll, asparagus, and green bean casserole. there were also yams, ham, turkey, stuffing that Brant's mom made, fruit salad, jello salad, and mashed potatoes :) good stuff!
curious to know what everyone else had...?
- My family: Brant, Tatiana, and Hailey..they are the world to me! as well as all other family that we love!
- Health and Life (I am thankful everyday Tati is here with us) and that my family is healthy.
- The gospel: it is the center of my life and Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ bless us everyday!
- Knowledge: the opportunity to be on this earth and to learn and grow
- Friends: to enjoy time with and have wonderful memories of fun and laughter
- Technology: I am grateful to be living in the time we live in, with all the wonderful advancements in our day.
- Being a Mother: it is my number one calling on this earth and eternity..it is a joy beyond words.
- Love: to be loved and to love is a wonderful gift!
- Talents: it is a blessing to have many talents and to share and enjoy others talents.
- I could probably go on and on, but I just wanted to list a few ;)
Our Ward had a Christmas Party and program. We got to enjoy yummy soups and many different types of salads and rolls..mmm. We are fortunate to have so many good cooks in our ward. We got to enjoy good singing, dancing, funny skits and of course Santa!

Oh man, we should have taken a good picture! It was fun being your nurse for the day. it was my first day so I didn't get to do nearly as much as now, I do all the care now. It still was fun seeing you guys though. Tati is the sweetest, cutest little girl! As fun as it was, I hope she doesn't have to be my patient again - fun for me, not fun for you :)
We are so glad Tati is doing better and that you were able to enjoy your Thanksgiving. How did your dad's auction go? What kind of cool things did he auction off this year? We are so glad we got to see you all, we already miss you!
