Miracle Baby

This past week has been the most difficult. Tatiana went into cardiac arrest late Thursday night and Friday morning. She needed CPR for about an hour on Friday morning.. she was intubated Thursday night and she developed a pulmonary hemorage (bleeding in the lungs) she also has pulmonary edema and hypertension (fluid and inflammation). This is possibly caused by HUS (hemolytic uremic syndrome, damaged vessels/vasculitis) We are still in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and they are taking good care of Tatiana.. the nurses and doctors here are wonderful. She is still on CVVHD (Continual veno venous hemo-dialysis) She is also on insulin, her blood sugars are fluctuating up and down and nicardipine (channel blocker), 2 clonodine patches and enalaprilat (ace inhibitor) for her hypertension. She is on high dose steriods to keep her from bleeding again (30mg of solu medrol). Tatiana is now extubated this morning and has a nasal canula on 3 Liters of oxygen, later she was put on CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) She is on 40% O2 now and recieving albuterol treatments every 4 hours. She is doing better, Thanks to everyone with their prayers and fasting.. I am thankful every minute to have Tatiana here with us again!
