It's been a while! a lot of things have happened recently. One of the biggest things was that we moved!
My parents officially moved to San Diego and we are now living in their home, since the beginning of April. It was a bittersweet..I didn't think it would be, but strangely I felt nervous about it. I have moved so many times in my life, I thought it would be no big deal, but this was the first time I actually had to move; other than the time I moved away from my parents and in with Brant, when we got married, but that wasn't as big as this move. We have had a lot of memories and time spent in our home..9 years! that is the longest I have lived in one home, consecutively. Also, it is a lot of work! I didn't mind the organizing and throwing things out part, but the moving things into my car and into the new home was physically draining...being pregnant was another strain on my body..which I probably did more than I should have. It is almost over..after about 4 garage sales later and most of our junk is put away and organized.. but Brant still has the garage to go through :) Another damper was some of the things that we have had to deal with since we moved in.
First was a huge scare. Levi was able to wiggle the pool gate open and he got into the pool area. Luckily I came outside to check on him shortly after he had gone outside. I had no idea the gate was defected. He fortunately did not get in the water, but I about had a heart attack and thanked Heavenly Father that nothing had happened! In the meantime afterwards, I tied the gate up with rope and nobody was going into the pool area.We immediately had the gate fixed and a new lock put on. The next thing was bugs. There were cockroaches and scorpions! 2 kinds of bugs we have not had to deal with, so Brant got his friend over and bombed our house with chemicals, while we were gone. I came home to some dead bugs, which I was glad. Then, there is a leak in the pipes on the side of the house that is coming through the cement, which was the termite people's fault a few months ago when they had to remove the termites. they are supposed to take care of it, but can't find a contractor, so that is left to us to find one to do the job. The air conditioner was also not working in part of the house, but luckily it was still under warranty and had a guy come fix it. They had to add more freon and order coils for one of the units (there are 3 units). Last, but not least..the basement has mold..biggest project and headache. Brant and his friend will have to tear down the drywall and remove all the carpet! I just hope everything gets done before this baby arrives! Which I don't think I have mentioned.. We are having another GIRL!! I don't have a first name yet, that Brant and I can agree on..go figure, but I do think her middle might be Isabelle..which Brant hasn't strongly disagreed about, so that's good for me :)
Ok, so now onto some other good news!!
Tati turned 7!! she is my angel and I cannot imagine my life without her. I celebrate her life everyday!
We had just a couple friends meet up at the park. Some friends weren't able to come last minute and I ordered a giant sub from Neds, so we called some more friends so that it would get eaten!! Tati had a great time and it was a nice day.
Easter at the new home with Grandma Morrow decorating cupcakes with the girls
He did not hesitate to get into his candy after the egg hunt
We went to our new ward, for the first part Easter Sunday, then our old ward and then the next sunday was our last official time at the old ward, since Brant transferred our records that day.
Friends Camping 2012!!
the barrel swing was a hit.. literally too, cuz it hit about 5 kids, including one of mine..haha!
Rand taking all the kids for a ride :)
What would we do without our amazing friends who help put all of this fun together.. Genesis had his big screen again for all the kids.. which was a huge lifesaver! I made chili for dinner Friday night and thankfully I had a lot of help when I came in, because I took the kids camping by myself. We slept in the back of the car. Brant ended up showing up super late and had to leave sat after breakfast..so he barely spent any time :( We sure are lucky to have such good friends!
the Kerby's invited us to stay another night at Laura's parents cabin, which was super close to our campsite. We had a great time and we even went to church in Payson Sunday morning. We stopped on our way out to feed the ducks at the park. Fun times :)
