My Tati girl had her 5th birthday!! She wanted a Princess birthday and that is what she got. She had about 16 of her girly friends over in dress up and it was a blast. It started out with decorating princess crowns. Then the kids played fun games and danced to disney princess music. They ate some yummy food and snacks and the Princess Castle Cake, that I slaved over for hours..not to mention, I made 4 cakes (one of which got eaten by Uno and had to be redone) all from scratch as well as the icing (cream cheese and butter sweet cream)! There were also strawberries in the middle layer..yum!
After, the kids got in line and hit the princess piñata and got tons of candy. We then opened all the wonderful gifts she got from her wonderful friends :) All the kids got to take home their crowns, candy, and a balloon.
It was a lot of work, but well worth it.
For Easter Week of Pre-K..the kids planted Eggs at 3 different people's homes. It was a lot of fun and they enjoyed sneaking around placing the eggs in their yard.. although at one of the homes, we got caught :( I think it was a fun way for them to learn that they can do some service to others for Easter.
I made the girls Easter bags out of felt with their first initial..they loved gathering eggs with them!
We had to leave early, because we were planning on stopping by Tyler Shepards wedding, but we were running late and missed it, since we were also going to Disney on Ice!! I got tickets from Hope Kids and the kids reeaally enjoyed it.. I even enjoyed it and Brant..well, he could have done without, but was a sport for coming along.
Saturday & Easter Sunday was Conference. The girls colored their conference packets while watching part of conference both days..a lot for 2 little kids, but they did pretty well. I enjoyed hearing about being a better parent! I am always striving to being a better parent and need that extra boost every now and then to remind me of how lucky I am to have the family that I have. We had lunch over at my parents in between sessions on Sunday and the girls got to find their baskets!
The girls especially like going to vovo's cuz they sure get everything they need want..of course with some mediation from Mom (me).
They got so much stinkin candy, chocolate, treats, junk, etc this week.. ridiculous! making them eat their carrots, green beans, chicken, rice, etc.. wasn't easy
