Tati turned 4

I asked Tati a while back what kind of birthday party she wanted. I was thinking she'd pick something that was her favorite, like Ariel or one of her shows that she watches.. Dora/Diego, Spongebob, etc. She picked Sesame Street/Elmo..funny. She doesn't even watch Sesame Street and we've played the games online on sesamestreet.com a few times. So, we had an Elmo birthday party! It was fun planning this party and having her make some of the decisions. I even asked her who she wanted to invite and she just about gave me the entire list. As a surprise I hired Elmo to show up at the party! I found him online at AZpartypals.com. They played a parachute game,danced, and played tug-o-war! Party city had all the sesame street and elmo stuff. We had an Elmo piñata and all the kids got to hit it, as well as the big kids..which I thought would be easy to break, since it was fairly small..but I ended up having to hit it a few times at the end, so all the kids could dive for the candy. (some people thought maybe I needed to let out some anger/frustration..I gave Elmo a good beating (not the dude in the costume)..haha)
Wednesday was her actual Birthday, so it was exciting to ask her what she wanted to do. She had gymnastics in the morning. She wanted to eat at Barro's for lunch and then go to Chuck E Cheese's.. although we actually ended up going to Peter Piper Pizza, which Brant thought was practically the same (it's not..but Tati was OK with it) Then, for dinner she wanted to eat at Gecko.(Can you tell where some of our favorite places to eat are?) Afterwards, we stopped at Wal Mart to pick out a movie. She got to chose out of 3 movies..Tarzan, Pocahontas, and Mulan..she chose Pocahontas
For Tati's presents.. I made her a new comforter and bed skirt (which is made out of tulle..a tutu bedskirt) and I made a backpack for her..she also got Pinnochio on blue ray as well as Pocahontas :)
from friends and family.. she got some strawberry shortcake dolls, polly pockets, nerf gun, sidewalk chalk, books, stickers, tea set, Ariel doll, fancy nancy crown, cd, sunglasses, and clothes, and jungle book dvd. (time to sort through toys..in with the new, out with the old)
We also had the opportunity to go to the Air Show! The girls had a blast. Hailey loves watching airplanes. This was my first time and it was pretty neat. We got the hookups, from a friend of Brant's who is a captain. We met up with Justin and went to Cabela's where they had fun looking at all the guns. it was a long day!

Wow!! What an eventful week!! Happy birthday Tati!! Thats awesome that you're a sewer! That backpack is amazing! How in the heck do you find the time to take on big projects like that? It looks like Tati had a very fun b-day!
How fun is that!! I don't know about that crazy eye Elmo though. lol She is such a lucky girl.
looks like you guys had a great time. sam was glad she could go, but jacob was very upset he couldn't. we love Tati. especially her incredibly contagious smiles!
