Tati got sick with Peritonitis, with the infection pseudomonas. It's an infection in the peritoneum, where she gets dialysed. Tati was very sick and we took her to Banner Children's, but they couldn't do anything for her, so we got sent by ambulance to Tuscon, where her nephrologist Dr. Mona Zawaideh is and the bone marrow transplant team, Dr. Graham and Dr. Andreansky. She got sick late Tuesday night July 25, during a huge rain storm and our roof was coming apart, and our house leaking! When it rains, it pours! after a few doses of antibiotics, we started noticing that she was getting better. We stayed at UMC from Wed night to Fri night. She has to be on continuous antibiotics and dialysis for 3 weeks! Other than this step back, Tati is doing great things! she can crawl, she drinks out of a sippy cup and only has her binky at night, she can stand for a few seconds with help, she babbles, plays, and will pick up finger foods and put them in her mouth, but spits them out, she can point, she gives 5, she gives kisses, and loves to roll the ball back and forth! Another great improvement was made this week, Tati got her broviac (central line) taken out!! all of her medications are oral now, exept one dreadful epogen, that I have to give her a shot subcutaneously every 2 weeks :( thank you and goodnight

It seems that every time things seem to be going up, you will always have to take a step back, but then you go up again...
It's so great to hear that she is crawling, high fiving, standing, and kissing. She is beautiful. I can't wait to meet her someday. My love to you all.
Just glad to hear that she's doing well and back home again. She is absolutely beautiful. You're in our thoughts and prayers.
On a side note, we've been home since July 20th. And things are starting to settle into a routine.
