When we arrived to the hospital, Tati had lesions on her body and they rapidly grew throughout her entire body. She was admitted on the pediatric unit, then the oncology unit the next day. A neurologist looked at her and said she didn't have neurophibromitosis, then they thought she might of had neuroblastoma, then a week later, after a biopsy and bone marrow aspirate, they ruled that out. Another week went by until they finalized that she had AML, not categorized. AML has 0-7 subtypes, they thought she might have type 7, but her presentation was very rare, so they categorized it as type 0: not otherwise categorized, because she didn't exactly fit any subtype. She has a Broviac catheter, which goes into a vein, into her heart, where blood samples can be collected and medicine can be inserted. After the 1st induction of chemotherapy, her lesions/tumors rapidly disappeared. She had tumors all throughout both kidneys, liver, and pancreas. She had tumors surrounding her orbits in her eyes and skin lesions all throughout her body and large ones on her head. She also lost most of her hair, but still has a little left. She went into remission after the 1st induction of chemo and is responding very well to treatment.. thanks for everyones prayers and fasting!
